Unfocused

Do other themes have them?

If they don't, why does Bionicle? Other themes produce considerably better sets, and if they do it without focus groups, Bionicle's usage of focus groups is idiotic.

If it was so idiotic, then explain how the Phantoka are selling better than any other year. Please, do explain.

Whether they are selling well or not isn't the point.

Bionicle is stuck in a rut. The sets are selling well, but they're not trying anything. The question is, how do they know something else won't sell better?

I think they should do what they did with the UCS SSD, just tell the designers to "make something awesome". Then don't bother running it past the focus groups, make a few thousand sets, and see how well it sells.

It's not? I thought that was what the whole point of being a capitalistic business was. To make stuff and sell it for a profit. Silly me.

They try multiple things with the focus groups. And let me ask you a question-if something is doing incredibly well, why change anything?

The what now? And personally, I think that they already are making something awesome. And set sales would indicate that the majority of buyers agree with me. Or maybe I agree with them? Life is full of mysteries like that. :P

Are you familiar with the term, "recipe for disaster"? Trying something blindly isn't exactly the safest way to do things in a cut-throat business. It could turn out well, yes, or it could be a financial disaster. Thus potentially leading to Bionicle getting the axe.

The SSD certainly wasn't a disaster, and that's exactly what they did with it.

You didn't answer my earlier question, what's the SSD?

Ah. Thanks. But one thing separates this from Bionicle-They were merely making a reconstruction of another person's creation in through the medium of LEGO, Bionicle, they're creating sets from scratch in the looks department.
