SHORT VERSION FOR JUDGES:

We judges must spread the movement and fight da powa', and stick it to the Man! (Well maybe not the last two) Basically, you can read the long version if you want, but here's the short one to save your eyesight: Fight against bad eyesight caused by reading too many entries!



LONG ENTRY FOR NON-JUDGES

Yes, that's right folks. Save The Eyesight campaign is here. We are here to go on a wild fundraiser to raise money for our poor judges. With this newfound money, we will buy contacts and glasses for all the judges. If we're lucky, we can buy some laser eye surgery for those extreme cases of judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad. Yes, we know. Judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad is a terrible case of eyesight loss, brought on by reading too many entries. If not treated right away, a judge could go mentally insane, and worst of all: have blurred vision.

So please, if you want to help fight the disease known as judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad and fight for a good cause, please put this banner, graciously provided by bonesiii, as your sig. (This part isn't joking. We ought to go with the gag and do it. Bones and I are trying to see how many people -- hopefully mostly judges -- that we can find to do this.







(Note: This is purly sarcasm folks. No...we aren't going to actually start a fund. Would be nice though...)

Bah! I happen to be almost completely blind due to my DNA being the dumping ground for each and every one of both my parent's myopic chromosones! And do you see me complaining? NOOO! I just wear my emo specs, and resign myself to my fate! I've read tons and tons of stuff online, and I never do that crazy thing with giving my eyes a break every fourty or whatever hours! BAH! *convulses*

Not anymore, but after the polls where up, judging was still needed. Not it isn't, but is was up till when the finals were up. :D

yeah, i've gone nearsighted due to all of the judging (so what if i was nearsighted before :P)

 

i actually had to stop judging two or three weeks ago due to my failing eyesight (so what if i was going to camp for those two weeks :P)

Bah. I've had bad eyes since second grade. Just wear the glasses/contacts and you're happy ... or if you're rich, get yourself lazored ... er, lasered. Surgeried. Hooray for made-up vocabulary.

 

Speaking of made up vocabulary, here's a nice word for you: dysoculaoverdemiasis, the condition of bad eyes due to too much judging. Yes, I used proper word roots.

If someone needs eyesight help, it's you, Utopia. You've done more judging than anyone else. Not to forget the contest host :).

 

I'm so lucky--I haven't stared to the screen for a week because of my Norway trip.
