Of Summer
So I only have one more class to attend before the school year is done for good. One more class means one more final. Like I'm worried about my French 2 grade. Haha.
Anyway, in the same vein as this entry from almost a year ago, here is...
Things I learned during my Junior year in college:
- Once again, GO TO CLASS (yes KIE, this is for you)
- Don't try to date Freshman as anything but a Freshman. Bad idea.
- Seriously. Leave the Freshman alone.
- (They don't know enough of who they are yet)
- Don't believe anyone who says otherwise, the friend zone is alive and well. It exists.
- I am incredibly easy to talk to. Disarming, even.
- Which leads to the new major. Community Counseling. I learned that I want to do this.
- If you don't pay your bursar bill on-time, you don't get to enroll on time.
- (That puts you behind in your classes, kids)
- A cold spring semester is a sad spring semester.
- (I had a sad spring semester, because it was cold)
- I really like the French language. Minor?
- When guys get girlfriends, they tend to ignore their friends.
- (I'm slightly bitter, don't worry about it.)
- Patience is a virtue.
- The things you say are powerful. Watch and guard them carefully.
- Seriously.
- I like having a room in a house, off-campus. It's the first time I've ever had a room that was 100% mine. I will miss it.
- I won't miss the house, or those who live here, though.
- There's a passion missing in most campus Christian organizations that leads to me not liking them.
- (That is, of course, all I am allowed to say on that topic.)
- My Dad has excellent taste in music. Like, excellent.
- NEW DEATH CAB ALBUM IN MAY, FYI.
- (I'm a little excited about that one. But more excited about...)
- NEW RELIENT K DOUBLE EP AND B-SIDES ALBUM THIS SUMMER! THAT'S TWO NEW CDs!!
- My best friend is awesome, and I don't know where I would be without her.
- (Friend zone! Haha!)
- I really like being a Barista.
- Flight of the Conchords is awesome fun!
- GO TO CLASS.
- (Which I did, thank you very much)
- I have awesome friends. They are awesome. I know that's redundant.
- Girls like to bake cookies. All you have to do is ask.
- People and life change, and you have to get used to it, or you'll suffer.
- Make your intentions known from the beginning.
- (Friend zone)
- Freshman have meal plan that they will often generously buy you dinner with. Yay!
- Driving to Edmond every weekend starts to get expensive after a few trips...
- Totally worth it.
- People need to learn to talk on the phone. Texting conversations are so goofy.
- I'm looking forward to being a fifth year Senior. So two more years!
- (Instead of just one)
- I'm old.
Until next time, denizens!
