A Wise Word From Bilbo

Bilbo remembers what happened last time that wizard came around, so he doesn't want to let him in.

QuickTime (.mov)

Windows Media Player (.wmv)

Note: You have to download the linked file, because as far as I'm concerned the image doesn't show up when you try to view it directly on Brickshelf.

Also, I think the .wmv file skips the opening shot and the title.

Good job.

Personally, I kind of find that the camera quality is a bit...bleh, but it's not too bad. And I really can't criticize you about having a low-resolution camera. What I would suggest you do is see if you can focus it any- there should be a ring, or dial, or something around the lens that lets you focus it.

Anyway, the animation is certainly good, and it's rather funny. The only thing wrong with it is how the parts with the text are kind of long in contrast to the rest of it. If you want my advice, I would have made them shorter, as well as having the quotes on the same frame.

But, the sets were very well done. They weren't shoddily constructed, and actually look kind of like they did in the film.

So yeah, it's a good movie, in my opinion- though it could use a bit of improvement.

The webcam is the only thing I can use, unfortunately.

I have no excuse for the focus. I suppose that was pretty bad. (If you're talking about how the entire movie was blurry, iMovie automatically does that to any otherwise high-quality movie when exporting. Karzahni with iMovie.)

The text I can blame on my sister. Totally her fault.

And the quotes: The program I use would only let me do them that way. Otherwise it would have shrunk the quotes to nano-scale.

Keep yourself sane. Stay away from iMovie.

What's with the banana?

The Brickshelf thing worked fine.

BtB

He was supposed to eat it. I thought that was rather boring, so he stuck it on the end of his staff to make a scythe. And he skweeshed the ant.
