Narnia: Prince Caspian...the Official Review
So last week, I think it was Saturday, I went to see Prince Caspian in the theater. Now I've read the books and I've seen the first movie a number of times. Actually, I'm going to see the first again tonight but that's hardly the point is it?
I've heard many negative comments as well as some positive. If you like things to be strictly canon and want the writers of a movie to stick to the book, tough luck. They definitely changed and added alot to this movie. The White Witch was in it briefly...Figure that one out. I personally don't care too much and I think the additional battle scenes really added to the plot.
All the actors did a great job. I loved watching the interactions between the four siblings. It was so cute and was often very amusing. Personally, I think Susan looks exactly the same and Peter looks pretty similar. Lucy looks a little older, but it was definitely Edmond that changed the most. By the way, he is one of my favorite characters...
The battle scenes were excellent and varied. There are one-on-one fights, massive army fights, sneak-attack fights, and the like. People say it's a lot more violent than the first one and I tend to agree. But, I don't think it's very gory or shows much blood, which is good.
Overall, I thought they did a very nice job on this movie. I'll give it four stars.
