OF COURSE....

 

::some of the parts were not available inside the machine, so the whole thing will be mailed::

 

::tries to pay by credit card, forgetting it was left at home::

 

::prints out receipt and brings it up to the register to pay cash::

 

::impatiently waits by mailbox, but happy::

 

WAKES UP.

 

I'm whizzed that because they're mass-produced in canisters, that you have so little control over individual colors on some parts. Even with a certain site online that lets you buy used parts, it still doesn't let you get them in whatever color you want.

That's a pretty common dream in MOCist circles, I'd say. The part with the no pants in public, that's universal.

It's funny. Back before Lego and the internet, when i used to buy action figures, the dreams were of walking through a sea of tables at an anime convention, filled with unpainted prototypes to resin models and diecast japanese robots marked down REAL cheap.

 

Now though... this is what my dreams are like. It's like they've become almost... "boring".

 

Of course I no less think Lego could do well to emulate the scenario I described.

 

It'd be profitable, I'm pretty sure.
