Mr. <most of this name removed> Foret

<address removed>

Metairie, LA 70006

Dear Mr. Foret:

You have been approved by the Board to sit for the Principles and Practice of Engineering examination on October 24, 2008. If you cannot sit for this exam and have to reschedule for a later date, you will be charged a $50 rescheduling fee.

Engineering and Land Surveying Examination Services (ELSES, LLC) is responsible for the administration of the exam; therefore, you must register with ELSES to reserve a seat for the exam. Registration information is available at the ELSES web page, http://www.els-examreg.org/ and will be posted after July 1, 2008. You are not registered to sit for this examination until you have paid the ELSES registration fee. If you do not have internet access, or have questions about the procedure, please call ELSES toll-free at 877-536-7729 (7:30am to 5:30pm EST).

You will receive a letter from ELSES approximately 21 days prior to the exam giving you information and instructions. This information includes admittance procedures; approved calculators; times and other pertinent details which changes with each exam administration. Please be familiar with the information for the October exam.

In the event you are not successful at your exam attempt, the LAPELS board has implemented these policies: 1) If an application is 3 years old or you have 4 unsuccessful attempts, your application must be resubmitted with all information, except transcript. 2) If you have 4 unsuccessful attempts, you will have to interview with a committee of the Board. 3) The Board no longer allows applicants to be proctored unless dispatched on military duty.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact our office. We look forward to working with you on your efforts to become licensed in Louisiana.

Sincerely

Good luck with that. I have friends who took the FE recently, and that was difficult enough - I hope the PE exam isn't nearly as bad.

Heh.

Heh heh.

NOT HARDLY.

Imagine taking a test 6 times as difficult as the FE, only half a decade after your last #2 pencil test.

Rob, one of my bosses at Digital, told me that the application is the easy part.
