Bad Weekend.
Well, to start my weekend off, I had the first of many Saturday practices for Cross Country. That is right, I now have to run six of seven days a week, and Saturdays are the longest runs we do, averaging about ten miles, the most being a 14 mile run we do toward the end of the season. No one wants to bother going on Saturday, so naturally most of the team wasn't there, including all three captains and our head coach. Even worse, the girl's coach brought popsicles- for the girls. This made our assistant coach furious as he has brought popsicles for both teams many times with extras to spare.
Next, I got home and was forced to go out to my sister's boring soccer tournament. The night before, this seemed like it would be a lot of fun, my parents wanted to leave early, but I still had to go to practice, so the plan was I take the train up to my grandparents beach condo (that is where we stayed, they are in New York) by myself, or rather with my dog. Which is even better, as she is the best dog in the world. Then my dog, Hiedi, got sick, she could no longer come. Oh well, I still get to take the train by myself. That'll be something to blog about, I thought. Wrong! The only train times were during my sister's first game, and my dad did not want to leave in the middle of it to pick me up from the train station. My sister ended driving me up there, a long, boring drive...
At least I would still be able to use my dad's laptop to go on BZPower, check Gizmodo, make a new comic, etc. Wrong again. For whatever reason, he decided not to bring it. And I ended up spending my whole weekend reading Kite Runner. It is a good book, but still, I am now even further behind in my comic making thanks to the other week and this weekend. At least it is Shark Week at last.
By the way, here is a picture of my dog. In a sombrero.
Live every week like its Shark Week.
