For those of you who read my blog and don't know, I started college last week and am currently living on campus. So far, it's been a blast. I am taking Cornerstone of Business and Psychology on Monday/Wednesdays and English Comp 1 and Finite Math on Tuesday/Thursday. I was taking US History to 1865, but because this is only my first semester and I have to maintain a 3.0 to continue getting my tuition paid for, I decided to drop the class.

First day of school, I missed about 45 minutes of my Psychology class, because I (and a group of other people) went to the wrong room. Of course, we walked into the right room as the professor was explaining the part about how it's rude to be late. *facepalmed*

Living on campus is even better. Being 5 minutes away from everything is awesome. Plus, all last week there was free food and junk. I'm learning ways to get free food whenever possible.

And just in case you really wanted to know, I still don't have my laptop. I decided to go with an Acer, which was better all-around than the other two computers AND it was cheaper. So I went to order it on the 11th but when I got to the end of the process, the website told me that they were having problems with their servers and that I should try again later. So I tried again on Tuesday night a total of two more times and got the same exact error. Wednesday, I went to lunch with my friend. Tried to pay with me debit card and it got declined. I thought to myself, "That's odd. I know I have plenty of money in my account." So I borrowed some money from my friend. After lunch I went to the bank to check what was up. Lady told me I had $3000 worth of laptop purchases on hold, waiting to get approved. My heart skipped a beat or two. As soon as I got back to work I called the business I ordered from and cancelled all of those orders. I got my parents to order it for me on the agreement that I would pay them back later. They ordered the computer with TWO DAY shipping. They ordered on Wednesday so the laptop should be there by Friday, right? Wrong. My computer supposedly got lost in the mail. Newegg.com was negotiating with UPS and supposedly UPS was trying to find it, and if they don't they would tell Newegg. I haven't heard anything since last week and I've been on the ###### old laptop for way too long.

That pretty much sums up my first week of experiencing college. No classes on Fridays is the greatest.

Oh, and the internet connecting is incredibly slow (compared to what I had at home.) XBL is so laggy it's not even funny. That's not going to work when Gears of War 2 comes out...
