I had allergies way too long this year too, but in a time when I shouldn't be having them. Since I was like 21, I got these "allergies" people talked about.

My #1 biggest problem is narcolepsy... I just CANNOT stay freaking awake some days.

Forcing myself awake = tons of concentration and it HURTS.

Some old goat I knew said that his wife had them too, but was able to stop it by eating honey in the morning. Specifically, honey fresh from the comb, from bees (and therefore the offending flora) in that area. I tried it and it worked, but when I stopped, I got the allergies inside a DIFFERENT month than normal anyway.

(Probably something like snake anti-venom, created from antibodies in horse's blood after a snake bite. The bees must build up antibodies to the pollen and that's passed into the honey?)

Give it a try next year. Most areas have a beekeeper. Might be tricky to find if they don't have a website.

I personally advise, Oil of Oregano. It is a natural substance that obviously comes from the oregano plant and even though I do not have allergies, my mother and sister do and they tell me that it gets rid of it instantly. It also helps with all sorts of other things. It's like a miracle medicine, headaches, colds, all sorts of things get better much faster with it. And because it is a natural food extract, it has no side effects or disadvantages of any kind that always comes with medicine.

But I warn anyone who wishes to use it. You have to make absolutely certain that you are getting the right stuff. There are a lot of things that are packaged with the label, Oil of Oregano, but that area actually the oil of some other plant. Most of this stuff is not very good for you at all, and some is actually harmful. The brand that my family get's is called Oreganol, and it comes in a dark blue bottle. We have reasearched it and know that it is definately the real McCoy :D . Just put 2 or 3 drops on your tounge and I guarentee that your allergies will be gone. They might come back after about 15 minuets but the more times you do it the longer it takes to come back. I think that the most my sister ever had to take it was 3 times in one day. Another warning, if you get the real oil of oregano, it is spicy...surprisingly so. It's not terrible but for someone who cannot tolerate spicy stuff it might be sort of nasty. On the other hand table pepper is too spicy for me, but when I had a cold, it made my days so much better that I took it anyways. :P
