It's been seven years since that fateful day. Seven years since two planes crashed into the Twin Towers and killed so many Americans. So much time has passed and so many things have happened in that time. It's so easy to forget that event that caused the death of mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters. It's even easier for those of us who weren't affected directly. But just because we don't always remember that day and the war that is being fought to protect our land, doesn't mean that there isn't someone else out there that is still mourning the death of a loved one. Or praying desperately for the safe return of a dad or mom.

I remember that day all too well. I still recall where I was sitting when I watched it on TV and what I was doing. Back then, I didn't even know what a terrorist was. But I know all too well now. It was hard for me, even though there was no direct impact.

We should never forget what happened that day, September 11th, 2001. We should never forget that there are still brave soldiers that are fighting to ensure the safety of this land.
