MTV Unplugged in New York is like, the only Nirvana album I think EVERYONE should have. In Utero is a close second though.

My bad, Im getting old and forgetful I guess.

White Zombie did release albums in 1992, 1995 and 1996 (this is only including the 90s, they also released two albums in the eighties)

Agreed; 94' is best, but with 64' a close second. Think about it, in 64', rock went from this;

To these;

And paved the way to make all the 94' bands what they are rather than their piano-slinging predecessors, albeit not directly.

@Necro: Correction.

Late '69 and '70 are the second best years for music.

Because rock went from this:

to this:

So, instead of rock/pop bands like The Beatles, we have Black Sabbath who ignited heavy metal.

Well, if you want to get technical, rock really went from the Beatles like this;

Beatles(pop-rock) -> Cream(Best known for having Eric Clapton. Blues-rock/psychedelic) -> Jimi Hendrix(Blues-rock/psychedelic) -> Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC(Hard Rock and Metal were similar enough to start under the same musical upheaval, but different enough to be separate genres).

But still, 69' and 70' were important years.

Although I stick by by claim about 1964; if it weren't for bands like The Beatles, The Stones, The Who and other 1960's British bands, Tony probably wouldn't have wanted to pick up the guitar since until 64' the piano was to rock as the guitar is to it now, Ozzy's vocal talent likely would've gone undiscovered since it's too harsh for jazz and blues, although Geezer and Bill likely would've still made some impact.

You all fail to realize that Jimmy Page is the most influential figure in music concurrently.

And he's been playing in and out of bands since early 60s >.>

Well, again, if you want to get technical, the most influential figure in rock is Chuck Berry; Johnny B. Goode was the first rock hit that used guitar as the lead instrument rather than a piano. If we're talking British though, yes, Jimmy has had huge influence. The Who wouldn't exist without him actually; in his session musician days, he played the lead guitar on their first hit single, I Can't Explain. And as they were hard rock pioneers, and metal is a fusion of hard rock, psychedelic and rock, metal wouldn't exist either. So suffice to say if we discount Chuck berry he is. He likely never would've picked up a guitar if it weren't for him though.
