Ah, today my local Home Depot was on fire. At school I heard an announcement of some cocurricular being cancelled due to a fire near their meeting site. I found exactly what was on fire when I was driven by one of our favored stores. The usual -- columns of smoke dissipating into the blue sky, not a lot of flames, water gushing from huge fire hoses suspended on cranes.

I remember in fourth grade that our teacher once asked us to write about the first time we had seen a fire. I remember that I had to tell her that I had never actually seen a fire (unintentional) before. Now I can say I've been at least 300 feet within a real fire. That was my day. How about yours?
