And in the news today, a boy shoots an abominable beast, saving the entire neighborhood. Instead of thanking him, the boy was arrested for illegal possession of a gun.

I heard about this... it turns out that that pig was owned by somebody, they raised it, it got out, and the kid killed it. And ate it.

Yes, yes, Princess Mononoke....

It is real.

Captain Obvious says: FAKE!

Except that I've read dozens of news articles and it's not...

Except they've had it analyzed on the computers and it IS.

No everything in the paper is true, you know...

The controversy was as to whether it was truly wild or not, not whether the photo was real. It's been revealed that it was a domesticated, farm-raised hog and not a feral one, but its size is accurate. The photo is entirely real. (Read the Snopes article if you have to.)

Yeah yeah, and the photos they had of the Loch Ness monster are also real and the Yeti photos were really showing a Yeti...

But I'm not gonna argue, if you want to believe, then do it.

Seriously, what are you talking about? I don't believe in any of those things. This is in no way cryptozoological.

It's an abnormally large, farm-raised pig. Its been researched by Snopes, and they're pretty much the internet authority on hoaxes. I mean, that's only a kid behind it anyways. It's not like it's a full-grown man.

Wild boars grow big enough as it is, and domesticated ones can grow enormous through constant feeding. This is unusual, sure, but it's not that unusual.
