EDIT: Quite an interesting episode. If I'm correct, Al is the giant robot looking thing and Ed is the blond kid?

So... They go to this village that sends the spirits of the dead back to Heaven in the form of fireworks. This girl that dresses like a guy ambushes the brothers and this other alchemist named Mahjal stops her. Mahjal explains his past to the duo and this pretty girl who went by the name Corrin (SP?) died twenty years in his past. Later in the episode, it turns out Mahjal is evil and his assistant is Corrin who cheated death. Ed and Mahjal have a quick alchemy battle. Mahjal creates a sword and tries to kill Corrin. Al intervenes and sends Mahjal reeling. Ed grabs a blue flower that fell from Corrin's head and turns it into a band and the sword impales Mahjal in the heart. He dies. The duo go off on their quest.

Wow... that was longer than I expected.
