Study Abroad Opportunity

My history teacher junior year said that studying abroad is a great experience. That in mind, there was a study abroad fair recently, and from the looks of it, I could be a journalism major in Ireland for less money that here in the states! (Expenses included.) It is still on the back burner, but come junior year I hope to spend a semester in Dublin. (Or study abroad somewhere else.)

Update 10/13: I crunched my numbers wrong and it is not going to be less money. That proves a hindrance.

Whoa... if the money issue is like that, then I'd jump on it. (althought I myself am more interested in New Zealand or Australia)

But you're paying out of state tuition, right?

The tuition is in-state.

Both New Zealand and Australia would be awesome. I just want to go someplace that primarily speaks English. My only fear is I'll have to start spelling things like coloUr.

I'm going to keep looking into this. I suspect I went to this one table and there might have been more I didn't see with similar options.

Colour is the better spelling.

Regardless, do it. A lot of my sisters friends (including her) are studying abroad for thier junior year, it's a really good idea.

Spelling colour correctly won't be the hard part. Spelling differently is easy. Spelling one word in two different ways would be hard. Sometimes the superior thinkers separate the definitions of what you call one word into two words. All I can think of at the moment is 'program' (computers) and 'programme' (a general plan or schedule).

Think about it. The whole world learns to spell correctly. Why do Statesmen get trained illiterate? I would jump at the opportunity to get taught by someone who will help me to break these US habits. I would try to learn how here, but where teachers don't encourage the effort, it'd be too hard.

Nukora, you confused me maybe:

So you're saying colour won't be hard, but (as I've realized) it's terribly hard to figure out when to use theater or theatre?

And you want your (American) teachers to teach you "colour" but won't?
