New Series
Hi. Over here it seems people are strongly in favor of a new BIONICLE book series, so I was wondering:
I know you've said that with only one real book next year it might not be significant enough to create a whole new series, but does it actually cost money to create a new series? All it really means is a different subtitle printed on the cover, right?
Because I was thinking- If the 2009 movie increases book sales like the 2003-2005 movies did, is the lack of a new series something that might be regrettable later on if the book schedule is larger in 2010? These ones, of course, would be pretty different in subject matter from all other BIONICLE Legends books, and it might be a bit odd later on if the name is the same.
So, anyways, I'm pretty ignorant about the book-process. Even assuming 2009 is the last year with books, what would be the harm in a new name for it? It has the potential to pay off if book-sales increase, doesn't it?
1) No, it doesn't cost anything to change the umbrella title of the series. But at this point, no one from Scholastic has expressed any interest in doing it, so that's all I know.
We ought to get in contact with Scholastic.
