I never liked him, either. Just another super-powerful character.

But if you really think about it, though, most of these characters are really the results of some combiner sets that we could've gone without. Not saying that Kardas shouldn't have existed, that'd be blasphemy; but characters like Spiriah, who I know played a somewhat major role in Federation of Fear, but it could've just as easily been someone else like a DH that no one cared about.

I didn't like Spiriah's combiner, either. That thing was just plain stupid.
