This may be a tad out of date, but I just read the Kingdom.

 

And I quote from there: "Takanuva had sacrificed his power to bring a new generation of Toa into being. These included Toa Kapura, Toa Balta, Toa Dalu, Toa Velika, Toa Defilak, and a new Toa of Light, Tanma."

 

Now, Toa teams rely on their variety. A team isn't much of a team if it doesn't have diverse skills and powers. So what did Takanuva do? He created three Toa of Fire (not the best element for a time of peace either), a Toa of Air, one of Water, and one of Light. I think he could have cut down on the fire Toa and added some better elements.

More like two Ta-Toa. Velika is a Po-Matoran.

 

It does seem strange to have two fire Toa. Especially with Ice and Earth to be considered. Personally I'd choose Ice. Or another element.

Oops.

 

I think when I first read it, I was thinking Dezalk instead of Defilak. And then when I went over it, I said "Wait. Defilak is Air." And so the two mistakes together lead to a third which makes no sense. Thanks for the correction.

I'd blame Takky-poo less and blame the story team more. Who'd make those decisions? a character on paper and plastic, or a buncha hoodlums in Denmark?
