5 Things You Must Do Before Playing Chopin
Chopin is amazing. love it so much.
So hard to play, but feels so amazing when you DO play it.
when attempting to play Chopin, you must...
1~ make sure you have controlled, relaxed wrists. (sounds weird, try doing your ugly exercises/relaxed wrists exercises.)
2~ practice (extra) the scale(s) of the key your piece is in.
3~ do not play Chopin by ear! you will butcher it! (definitely don't play with your ear xD I mean don't LISTEN to the music and then attempt to play it just from hearing it.)
4~ phrase things beautifully & watch your dynamics. Chopin is from the romantic times. His pieces are dramatic.
5~ practice section by section, adding them together once you get each section down pat.
and your Chopin piece will be beautiful! (:
Playing prelude no.15 in D flat right now. Beautiful. Love the drama! x3
