Christmas Spirit

Bitter Cold

So.

Christmas music is playing incessantly over my radio. Has been since October.

Walmart's trying to sell you decorations and giftwrap.

Everything you see is labeled "Makes a great gift!"

But what do you always hear that Christmas is about? No, not merchandising. Not lights.

Kindness.

What's the stereotypical kind act? Donating to charity, right? That sounds like a great thing to do in the Christmas spirit.

I'm not saying you should donate to charities instead of buying gifts. Because that would seem like you don't care about your loved ones.

The thing to do is, let your family know that you don't need lots of gifts to give you Christmas spirit. Tell them that, instead of buying you things, they can give things to someone who needs it more.

If you're reading this, think about how lucky you are. You're on BZP. That means you have a computer, and you have BIONICLE sets. You have so much, and how would you feel if you never had any of that?

Something to think about.

Yeh. I'm poor by Western standards, but there's nothing I actually lack.

Except an iPod dock with speakers.

You want kindness? This is America. Buy something or get out.

I love Christmas music, though. It's so fun. It just makes everybody in the house so happy ^_^.

Umm..I'm not saying don't buy anything. The economy would DIE.

Buy things and give them to people who can't afford them.

Look, if you're buying toys... just give them to me.

These are kids we're talking here. They put Thomas the Tank engine in their mouth and wind up with lead paint poisoning from China, they're losing the parts, next thing you know little Timmy's choking on a projectile.

Just give them to me. I have experience with playing toys. I know how to play with them right.

If I don't like something, I'll donate it myself.

Come on. Do it for the children.

But you probably grew up with toys, right?

Ever think about, you know, not having that?

I'd be glad to take some toys off somebody's hands too, but really. It doesn't hurt me to stick with what I've got for a while.

Besides, you could be doing something more productive. Like building an atomic missile, or becoming Staff, or learning how to juggle while swinging from your legs on a trapeze.
