Bioshock Problem
Hey all, I need a little help. I'm having some issues with BioShock running. I'll start running it, go through the first "mission" (plane crash) and into Rapture to watch Johnny get eviscerated by a Splicer. No problems. I pick up the radio like Atlas says. The door of the bathysphere opens. As soon as I start walking, the game gets incredibly laggy, to the point where it's unplayable. The pause menu takes a full ten to fifteen seconds to appear. I've cleaned the disk, the disk drive, cleaned everything pretty much, uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, downloaded the patch from the website, and all this, and at best I've delayed the lag so it starts about eight seconds later than it usually does.
Now, I've had the game for about a year on the PC, and have played it several times before, and never have I gotten this problem; the game has always run as smooth as possible, which I always found incredible, given the graphics. Regardless, it's not like this is a new game or anything. It only seems to happen with this game, too; I've played F.E.A.R. and Portal as an experiment, playing halfway through F.E.A.R. and all the way through Portal, and both work perfectly fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated; keep in mind I'm not exactly a computer technician, so try not to use too complicated words.
