Ah, good. That's really been buggin' me.

Can you imagine if they made these new sets that everybody and their brother will probably buy, but then gave them the plastic of last year?

UGH, it'd have sunk the line!

Why'd they even modify them in the first place? Sure, they look kind of shiny now, but screw that if they're breaking so much! Heck, they forced me to obtain another Solek because of these stupid joints!

The one on the right is misaligned.

I thought it looked a bit weird.

These peices break so much it's stupid. But the good news is Lego is aware of the problem and are fixing it, using superior plastic as well as making the ball joints just a bit smaller to fit without breaking. So just hold your Rahi. It will get a lot better as time goes on.

You know what I say? Why don't they just make the parts of the joints that break rubber? It would make the sets less wobbly, and the peices would hardly ever break!

The other thing that murders my fun is you can't stick 1x1 discs in the outermost hole anymore to obtain color uniformity in covering up the socket hole.

Poo!

Oh well, at least you can still buy the old, good ball sockets on that one site that lets you buy parts that fans have parted out from sets.

You could do that before?

Oh yeah. Makes for an awesome "mechanical" joint.

Are we talkin' bout the same thing here?

I'd use a Peeron pic, but I can't access Peeron.

The things they put on the ends of the guns in a bunch of Star Wars sets?

*Sigh* How disappointing. . . But hey, Customer Service will replace flawed parts! Send 'em the messed-up one as a reclaim and you'll get a pristine, top-quality piece back. I've done it lots of times.

Making the ball joints smaller? Won't that make it wobbly?

Yeah, it rocked, but now...

For free? Last time I tried that they wanted to charge me shipping, from Denmark. But I guess since I have broken stuff piled up since Zaktan joints I'd have enough for it to be worth it. It's that or buying it online from you-know-where. Pros and cons to both, but I might as well make Lego send me pieces them self.

See the kneejoint on this. 1x1 round, 2x2 round, 2x2 round coaster.
