Voting For C. I. R. C. L. E. Articles 5a & 12-17

Confederated Inter-Related Collaborative League of Epics

Once again I'd like to welcome everyone, now straight to more business.

The revised fifth article proposed by Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Toa_Ausar hereby proposes that the following rough sketch, that was previously adopted as the preliminary map of "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe", be replaced by the following revised sketch instead.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The twelfth article proposed by Kohila is as follows:

Kohila hereby proposes that a topic be created within the Epics Forum called "The Official C.I.R.C.L.E. Library" that includes links to each of our various writings.

If another C.I.R.C.L.E. Member volunteers to make at least thirteen banners (i.e. one for each of our stories), then Toa_Ausar is willing to write the formatting code, including embedded links, etc., and post the topic at some future date.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The thirteenth article proposed by RingMaster Zee is as follows:

RingMaster Zee hereby proposes that the Dome of La Nui be considered the epicenter of some of the most advanced weapons development within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe". This is due in large part to the weaponsmiths of La Nui having a strong partnership with the nearby Dome of Xia and therefore help them to produce weapons such as firearms, advanced aircraft, armored vehicles, and the finest blades fashioned exclusively from highly refined Terra Nuian Protosteel Ore.

These weapons have made it possible for even Matoran, with proper training of course, to go into combat with beings once left only to Toa. Unfortunately due to the drastic expense of much of the weaponry, many communities cannot utilize them unless they are absolutely necessary.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The fourteenth article proposed by Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Toa_Ausar hereby proposes that one of the most highly sought-after weapons within the entire "C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" is the extremely rare and ultra-expensive "Kemet Nui Blaster". Some, like the one carried by the ruthless Skakdi Bounty Hunter Chazok on his mission to Terra Nui, have been specially modified to better suit the purposes of their owner, but all are now exclusively produced by the weaponsmiths of La Nui.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The fifteenth article proposed by RingMaster Zee is as follows:

RingMaster Zee hereby proposes that the Isle of La Nui be considered one of the most densely populated islands within the entire "C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe", being home to around 40,000 Matoran.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The sixteenth article proposed by Toa Zahaku is as follows:

Toa Zahaku hereby proposes that the powerful relic known as the "Farcron Armour" be considered a one-of-a-kind object within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe".

Found on the small Isle of Farcron within the Dome of Ceronox Nui, the armour grants its' bearer a variety of special powers such as extreme strength or the ability to shoot elemental lightning from their fingertips. It also significantly boosts the strength of the bearer's existing powers, however if the user's mind is too weak, the "Farcron Armour" takes over and kills the user. The armour only fits Toa-sized beings, thus many species are unable to utilize it. The "Farcron Armour" was built by the Great Beings and thus if damaged it can only be repaired by the "Staff of Artakha".

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The seventeenth article proposed by Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Toa_Ausar hereby proposes that "Tekhtekh, the Cursed Wand of Chaos", be considered a one-of-a-kind object within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe".

This sentient staff, capable of harnessing the powers of chaos and secretly harboring an insatiable thirst for power, while despising all things Matoran, was recently unearthed, from beneath the Ta-she Lowlands on the Isle of Kemet Nui, however its' origins and past remain shrouded in mystery.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

And with that said, I open this thread up for discussion on the various articles for the proposed enhancement of this joint storyline.

Please be sure to vote on all seven articles in this thread.

Also, note that this discussion and the corresponding voting will end at 1200 PDT (Noon in the Pacific Time Zone) on Monday January 5th, 2009 provided that at least 3/4 of C.I.R.C.L.E. members have voted at that point.

Lastly, all C.I.R.C.L.E. Members will be notified of the results via PM as well as when there are other blog threads where authors can vote on the proposals surrounding the formation of C.I.R.C.L.E. and what that entails.

Thanks.

UPDATE: Article 5a has passed with a total of "SEVEN AYE VOTES TO TWO NAY VOTES", next

Articles 12 & 13 have both passed with a total of "EIGHT AYE VOTES TO ONE NAY VOTE" each, meanwhile

Articles 14, 15, 16, & 17 have all passed via "UNANIMOUS DECISION" and the polls are now closed.

5a. Nay. Sorry, but that map isn't accurate, and an inaccurate map isn't very useful. For example, Mata Nui's face is as big as the island Mata Nui, but you have the entire dome as his face. Also, some distances became drastically and unrealistically lengthened, such as Kaiva Nui's new placement, which makes it very isolated.

12. Aye, and I can do the banners, although I'll need time to work.

13. -- 17. Aye, although for 13 I would like to point out that the mostly peaceful Matoran of Terra Nui are grieved that the ore is used to make weapons.

First off, let me say to ~Ballom~ that the creator of Kaiva Nui, Roa McToa herself, describes the placement of said island as "far to the northwest and isolated".

Anyway, I hope he reconsiders his opposition to Article 5a. :begging:

That being said, I vote "AYE" on all seven stated Articles.

Aye to all stated Articles.

Though, on Article Twelve, I must ask: Can said topic include our own, custom banners as well? :???:

First off, let me say that ~Ballom~ is wrong on both of his points regarding the accuracy of the map:
  1. The Isle of Mata Nui does not appear on the map, he seems to be confusing it with the Isle of Metru Nui. The Isle of Mata Nui is in fact just part of the top of the Dome of Metru Nui and is outside of the Universe and therefore not portrayed in this drawing.
  2. The creator of Kaiva Nui,
Roa McToa herself, describes the placement of said island as "far to the northwest and isolated".Thus, I hate to say it, but my dear friend and co-founder is absolutely incorrect in terms of his stated argument against Article 5a and therefore more inaccurate than the cartograph that he's objecting to. :glare:

That being said, I vote "AYE" on all seven stated Articles.

First of all, Ausar, in the future please address me face to face, instead of acting as if I do not exist.

Second, I was under the impression that the island of Mata Nui was within the dome of Metru Nui. My mistake. Perhaps the misunderstanding came from my intense hatred of the idiotic "Universe Mata Nui".

Third, it doesn't matter where Kaiva Nui is. The point of the second map was to stay as similar to the original as possible, while keeping Mata Nui's shape. Drastically moving various islands every time you feel seems somewhat unnecessary.

Ausar~First off, allow me to say, you always manage to re-word what I say into a work of art. It is one of your trade-marks, as a good writer. Also, I certainly hope that no ill-will passes between the two founders of CIRCLE, as it would certainly damage the system. It actuallt reminds me of just after the Revolution of America when the first political parties formed after Washington stepped dow, aside from the fact I hope neither of you steps down should that unpleasent scenario become reality.

Article 5a- Nay, but only on the grounds of proportions, if htey could be worked out just a little more, I would say Aye. No offense intedended for all of your hard work on the map.

Article 12- Aye, and bravo to Kohila on thinking of such a thing. It waould certainly help some of the less thriving epics, mine included, to boost reader count.

Article 13- Aye, and Ballom, the weapons are actually only used in the combat against Undead Matoran, who are a foe that cannot be reasoned with, bribed, or treatised. No offense or arguement intended, though the mproduction of the weapons for other purposes would be Xians using rights to manufacture them.

Article 14- Aye, this one will have a cameo in my epic for sure.

Article 15- Aye

Article 16- Aye

Article 17- Aye

Aye to all stated articles.

Though I'd like to say that my proposal's credit should be given to biogio for the Official C.I.R.C.L.E. Library. He thought it up, I ran with it. :D

Also, I'd like to ask that not only would the Official C.I.R.C.L.E. Library include links to our various Epics, but also mild biographies on each of the domes in our stories, as well as including a revised version of the Integrated TimeLine. ;)

And Happy New Years to all!

Kohila

P.S.
Toa_Ausar
, I believe that the description was "
Far to the northwest of
Metru Nui
and isolated
". That being said, that's really the only mismarking on the Map.

Article 5a- Aye. I thought my question might trigger this.

12- Aye.

13- Aye. Sounds reasonable.

14- Undecided.

15- Aye.

16- Undecided.

17- Aye.

Aye to all stated article though id like to point out as my epic has not been completed, there would not be a point in making a banner for my epic yet.

Also chocolvr and any one else who hasnt decided on my proposed article, please pm me and i may help you choose by telling you a little more on the Farcron armour.

I don't think there will be any ill will; I'm not angry at Ausar at all. I was just slightly annoyed at how he addressed me, but otherwise I'm kinda glad he corrected me.

First, I'd like to apologize to ~Ballom~, even though he said he's not mad at me. :P

I wasn't trying to say anything without addressing you directly, in fact I honestly made sure that you were viewing the topic prior to and after I posted those comments and thus I didn't realize that it would upset you and that certainly wasn't my intention.

Anyway, I really do want to work with everyone to address their concerns regarding the revisions to my cartograph so that we are all happy with how it turns out. Please feel free to voice suggestions as to what needs to be changed to gain the approval of every C.I.R.C.L.E. Member that is opposed to the update. :fonz:

Second, the answer to Em-Oh-Cee-Ehr's question is that you certainly could use your own banner, I was just thinking that it would be cool to have banners exclusive to the proposed Library Topic is all. :D

Third, I'd like Zee Toa of sonics to know that he's welcome to join my Nationalist Republican Party in opposition to the Federalist Party anytime. ;)

Fourth, Kohila is correct about Kaiva Nui's supposed geographic relation relative to Metru Nui, but we've all known for years that there were no islands to the North, East, or West of Metru Nui, so the right shoulder is the next closest thing.

Fifth, just thought I'd clear something up to help ChocoLvr13 make up his mind on Article 14. All I'm saying in a nutshell is that the "Kemet Nui Blaster" be considered something like the "TEC-9" for the thugs of the "C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe". Oh, and look at all the trouble you got me in by having me work so hard to revise the shape of the map into the actual image of the Great Spirit Mata Nui. :crying:

Link to comment
We've known since 2004 that there are no other islands within the Dome of Metru Nui, aside from the Isle of the same name. :shrugs:
Link to comment

Well, in that case, Ausar, I'm still not sure about your article. A handgun being the most sought after weapon?

I'll think about it.

Oh, and sixteen is an AYE for me.

Link to comment
I'm not saying that the "Kemet Nui Blaster" would be the most sought after weapon, rather just one of the most sought after, i.e. all the thugs want one, but most can't afford to get one. ;)

Ausar~

Don't you love it when I post while studying for my social studies test after break? Anyhow, expect at least one more proposal from me soon.
