I may not have agreed with him, but I have a lot of respect for him. Running a country can't be easy, let alone for eight years while your decisions become increasingly unpopular to the point some people call for your death. I applaud and respect him for managing to withstand that for eight years and still have the sense of humour he had after the shoes were thrown at him.

 

Enjoy whatever your doing after your presidency Mr. Bush, and remember you never said strategery; that was Will Ferrel.

I've noticed that there's been a sort of sympathy for Bush in his last days and also a wave of last anger at him. I'd say more but I wanna stay non political.

It was kinda interesting to watch his facial expression on CSPAN's coverage of Obama's inauguration speech. Makes you wonder what must be going through his head...

If you notice...being the president has aged him FAR more than if he'd not been president. Just look at pictures of him in 2000, then look at him now.

 

Granted, he's been president for close to ten years, but still. It's very demanding job.

 

I may not have agreed with him on everything he said or did, but a man (or woman, if Hillary had won) who is willing to accept the responsibility of a job that demanding has my utmost respect.
