The Art Of Lady Kopaka

Lady Kopaka is one of the newer artists to hit the Bionicle spotlight, emerging at the tail-end of the Third Wave of Bionicle Art (post-RZ) before the latest set-style revival hit the BZP Creative Outlet. When Lady K emerged from the primordial ooze with her romantic yet humorous artwork, Rahi Zaku had been banned, the Razor sprite fad was in its final death throes and the Organic movement was in full power. Yet it did not take long for the Lady to attract the attention of Art Forum browsers.

Her art topics, as well as her intriguing prose, gradually grew in popularity. With some helpful encouragement from Nikira, then the unchallenged Queen of Bionicle Art, Lady K soon became the latest "new RZ." While Nikira worked in a cute-ish, more manga-centric style of anthro-chibi, the Lady's style was darker, applying fewer cartoon elements and working in a more realistic style. One could say she was the most radical of the anthro-Bionicle artists, building even further on the organic-movie fusion style popularized by post-ToA Second Wave artists.

Lady K has continued to produce breathtaking works of art and prose fiction and is showing no signs of slowing down. While not a particularly influential artist, she remains one of the best Bionicle artists of all time in many BZPers' opinions.
