So someone on another forum put it aptly. To paraphrase:

At least it's not an outright denial since Newtype didn't explicitly say it was a rerun and they used images obviously from Disappearance... in the end however, all the news was utterly ambiguous. *sigh* Well, as I was a latecomer to the fanbase, this hasn't happened to me before... I feel sorry for the people for whom this is the fourth time they've done this. It's really getting ridiculous.

Anyway got to plug chapter 10 of 52-pickup, as usual. Huh, whadya know. Chapter 10 was post #52 in the topic. Heh. Funny coincidence.
