Favor From Warhammer 40k Fans

Hey there! I need a favor from people who are into Warhammer 40,000. I've been reading some the of novels for a few years now, and I absolutely love the entire thing. However, I know that there's a series of books detailing the infamous Horus Heresy (conveniently called the Horus Heresy series), starting with the book Horus Rising. I do not know the titles off all of the novels, though.

So, basically, if someone could provide a list of titles of all the Horus Heresy novels that are out there and in the order I should read them, I'd be eternally grateful. I know there are at least ten or eleven, but I'm willing to grab whatever I can. Thanks in advance to anyone that could help me out! :)

Eh, It's pretty bad IMO. A lot of the cannon in it is kinda contradictory =/

This one. I'd advise reading none of them but Legion and maybe Flight of the Eisenstein, but HH kinda sucks.

I'd recommend getting your hands on the Eisenhorn and Ravenor trilogies, and Gaunt's Ghosts, though that'll take a while to read. Eisenhorn needs to be read first, then Ravenor, due to the intertwining nature.

Also the Ciaphas Cain books, which are frakking hilarious.

As for that list, Horus Rising, False Gods, Galaxy in Flames, Flight of the Eisenstein, Fulgrim, Descent of Angels, Legion, Battle for the Abyss, and Mechanicum.

Stay the fish away from Descent of Angels and Battle for the Abyss.

Gaah, I need to finish spellchecking my copies of HH.

I tried reading Ravenor, but I couldn't really get into it. I mean, I loved Lord of the Night and the three Blood Angels books, for example, but there was just something about Ravenor that I couldn't quite get into. Maybe I'll try picking it up again next time I get the chance.

At the moment I'm reading Ben Counter's Daemon World. I'm having a bit of trouble with this one, too, seems too much like fantasy and not enough sci-fi, but I like the concept of Chaos and the Word Bearers are evidently going to be involved, so I'm trying to stick with it.

Thanks for the info, though! :)

Ravenor doesn't really get good until the second book, as both it and Eisenhorn spend most of the first book building up the characters.

Which makes the second books fishing awesome, although the third ones never seemed as good, but that may be my aversion to endings.
