The Red Night

I danced to the beat of the sun,

My bretheren next to me.

Dedication to Apollo,

We danced for him.

We danced for her as well,

for the sweet Moon.

We danced to the howl of the wolf,

They joined in, yelping and screaming.

And so did we scream,

until at last we were silenced.

The dawn came,

We were bathed in red daylight.

Observing our red skin,

Our fresh tattoos.

We danced on the red clay,

Until the day was over.

And once more.
