I was reading something about the Beatles Anthology project and it said something about John planning a live concert with the former Beatles back in Liverpool. He said it would happen sometime in the 80s, but then he died. And it was held back a decade and a half and now we have the awesomesauce takes from the three Anthology albums.

He said multiple times before he died that he never wanted to get the Beatles back together.

 

He hadn't talked to Paul in 1980 for years.
