In Relation To That Thing About A Self-recorded Ep...

Necro

I've finally got some solid stuff down on how it should be.

"Marco Normal - The Sonic Asylum"

Marco Normal would be the false name I'll likely be publishing it under to avoid being associated with my current band in which I'm using my real name with since it's taking a very different direction, and The Sonic Asylum would be the title I intend to give it. Despite the sound, it's actually mainly focused on blues and rock(with a bit of punk thrown in) more than the genres one would associate "Sonic Asylum" with.

Current tracklist(Very much subject to change depending on how songwriting goes. All songs original and self written except where noted);

1. Hourglass sunrise

2. Close your eyes(into my arms)

3. For Granted

4. Tribal Song

5. Sonar clip #909

6. Intermission

7. (Tentative) House Of The Rising Sun(Traditional)

8. Whisked Away

9. Feedback

10. (Tentative) Internet Song

11. It's All Over Now(Cover based on the Stones version), or, if I end up not being able to get fee-free rights to record this cover, 7 AM Moonrise

Price is yet to be determined(It depends on CD Baby's policies and such), but I'm hoping for $5 if I go with a 5-song EP and just record five, or $10 if I record all eleven.

If anyone's interested, I'll be happy to send you a PM with a link to it if and when it's up.

And for those who'd like to hear it live, there will be, with any luck, an ensuing tour, though depending on whether I have my license by then, local laws, and how reliable a backing band I get(or how easy to set up of a backing track-device-thing I get if I decide to go the Buckethead route), it will either be statewide, coastal with a few shows right near the border in Canada, or as far as Texas.

Wish me luck. And yes I am very serious about this. I do intend to keep a dayjob though.

If you happen to be coming anywhere in Florida if that whole tour thing works out I'm pretty sure I could get you a place to play and either me personally opening up or my band playing with you.

Dude, lucky you. I always wanted to d something like that...wish you luck, I'll definitely keep an eye out on this.

Thanks, and really all you need is a good computer, a positive attitude, and ambition. Tis' really all I have that's pushing me to do this. :)

I wants a link please.

Will-do once it's recorded.

Sounds excellent. Definitely will send you something if I end up doing something more than statewide and come to Florida.

I officially hate you. Why can't I ever do anything like this? SADFACE.

I has a sad now. :(

XD Insert the same thing I said for Lady K here. =3

'Kay. But the worst thing is, I can't write lyrics for jack ****. And instrumental artists have a really hard time nowadays. =/

So am I, but occasionally I suddenly get a fit of inspiration and write something worth singing. Just keep trying. As for instrumental artists, if Stevie Ray Vaughan could emerge with the Blues in the midst of the 1980's, instrumentals can become popular today. ;) Plus Jeff Beck got voted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame recently, he's instrumental, so there's sure to be at least some people who like instrumentals.

Yeah...:) Maybe there's hope. I'll let you know when I record mine, if I get to it. It'll probably happen over the summer.

It's fairly easy to find someone who sucks at playing instruments but can write decent enough.

I'm trying to form an instrumental band.

I need a guitatrist (Me), drummer (One of my friends is an expert drummer), bassist, and a pianist (One of my friends also have that covered). Along with a bunch of other instruments, like violin, synthiszer (Who the guy playing piano might know) and someone to do a few backround vocals.

I can't decide on "Made in Nowhere", or "Phulnklojkohljtz"

I'm not gonna tell anyone, even the other members, how to pronounce our name if we go with the latter.
