So I've been attempting to get themes working for the better part of two days, with no luck. However, I now have:

FOUR DESKTOPS (IN A CUBE) (A CUUUBE)

MAD STATS ABOUT COMPUTER STUFF ON EVERY ONE OF THEM

WEATHER

I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT ELSE

But still no themes ;_;

I have the correct uxtheme and stuff, but its just not happening

Wow, how did you get four different desktops in a cube? O_o

I didn't have to put the custom theme in the C:\WINDOWS\Resources folder, I just ran the .msstyles file in My Documents or wherever it ended up after I downloaded and then the theme appeared in the Display Properties box that popped up. Using SP2 with a patched uxtheme FYI.

Vista or XP? Are you placing the themes in a folder with the exact same name as the theme file in the C:\Windows\Resources folder?

XP SP3. I've been working with it to where it recognizes that they exist in the display properties menu, and can be applied, but they apply only the icons and sounds of the theme, not the visual style. That reverts to classic.

Cubetop courtesy of Yod'm 3D, its a nice little free program that eventually became some kind of paid one.

Also its worth noting that the official windows royale and royale noir themes work just fine. I guess they'll be sufficient until I get all this operational.
