Well today was the final day of the service and burial. I actually did pretty darn good for an early morning, considering it was the earliest one yet. I shared my grandpa’s bedroom with my mom and grandma, I had an air mattress. We had a house full, our gay cousin and his brother flew in from Texas. I got up had breakfast, got dressed, and had my tie put on me by that very special cousin. I’m not entirely sure if his brother is too or not, he told me “morning sunshine…” They aren’t my cousins; they are my grandma’s cousins.

Here is a picture of me all snazzy on the final day, with my pap’s tie. Well I was going to crop me out but then I really wouldn’t be in the photo.

So we got down there around 9:30, it didn’t start until 10, and the service didn’t start until 11. Well I ended up not really attending at all; I was there but not up front with everyone. I was in the back in the sound room. The Church has projector to put images up and the words to songs for everyone. So I ended up getting a brief tutorial by the neighbor that doesn’t know how to use the program, and I typed in all the songs for the service. The system isn’t automated though, so the person has to sit there and change them as the song is being sung, I did that too. I even recorded the service; I still have to see if it worked properly…

This was my first time doing any of this, and it worked out pretty well. The Preacher even said he didn’t want us to cry, that he wanted us to work hard, I felt really good knowing what I was doing.

For once, I think I’ll leave out all the other family issues and just wash them away from my mind. It was really fun, getting out and working. :3
