On An Airless Moon

An observation or possibly more than one on the current BBCC.

There's a difference between "requirements" and "recommendations".

I have a nasty feeling that the designers' idea for this contest has been twisted out of shape.

Also need more light grey pieces of the sort usable for hands. Lego very much ought to adopt Jinzo's mini-balljoint socket idea.

Also fricking ugly silver pieces are fricking ugly.

Also(also(also)) I ought to just enter Contrail as-is and build a more menacing/less parts-intensive entry.

Explain your reasoning please? (not that I disagree)

First off, the "must contain System and Technic" clause of the requirements is worded in such a way that it makes a balance of both preferrable. The 75/25 rule isn't balanced at all, and seems slapped on because it's part of the default rule set, which was likely just copypasted into there without a second thought.

Secondly, the whole business about not allowing palm-blasters and the like. Note that "should have hands or other things to grab – pincers, tentacles, fingers, whaddevah." is in the recommendations, not[/i] the requirements. Note that nowhere is it stated that the "built-in armaments" are required either, but also nowhere does it restrict where they may be mounted, only that they're not detachable, i.e. held in a hand. Palm-blasters(REPULSOR BEAMS FETH YEAR) are built into the palm oof the hand and aren't detachable.

And there's a few other things I can't recall off-hand that also seem contradictory to the rules/recommendations as set forth by the designers.

Not really saying anybody's at fault, but I think they ought to re-read the rules before answering questions so as to prevent little things such as I've listed from occurring

MASSIVE EDIT: DISREGARD THE SECOND PARAGRAPH I VACUUM ROOSTERS
