Once again I'd like to welcome everyone, now straight to more business.

 

 

The sixty-third article proposed by Talvak is as follows:

Talvak hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Rethus (RETH-uhss), the Great Mask of Agony, which allow the user to stimulate various levels of pain within a target for as long as the user continues to concentrate.

The sixty-fourth article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Ruusan (ROO-sahn), the Great Mask of Agility, which permit the user to dodge almost any attack, though it can only dodge attacks the user is aware are coming, and only dodge one attack at a time.

Talvak hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Semack (seh-MACK), the Great Mask of Stamina, which grant the capacity to maintain continuous physical activity for an extended period of time, however mask usage ultimately leaves the user in a weakened state.

The sixty-sixth article proposed by Talvak is as follows:

Talvak hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Theris (THEHR-ees), the Great Mask of Heat Vision, which allow the user to issue beams of thermal energy from their eyes for a short period of time, however mask usage temporarily damages the user's eyes and therefore prevents them from being able to see until they've had time to recover. The length of recovery time is dependent upon the duration of mask usage.

The sixty-seventh article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Tomaje (toh-MAAH-jay), the Great Mask of Heat, which permit the user to adjust the temperature of their body or absorb heat from any nearby source, in order to burn through objects such as nets or ice, however the mask power only allows for increases in body temperature, not decreases.

The sixty-eighth article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Yovan (YOH-vann), the Great Mask of Defense, which grant the user the capacity to increase their body mass and strength, in order to absorb attacks, however the mask power will fail if faced with too powerful an attack. Furthermore it is only consciously controlled and thus leaves the user vulnerable to surprise attacks.

The sixty-ninth article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Zalmex (ZAL-mecks), the Great Mask of Intellect, which allow the wearer to evaluate and solve complex problems, as well as to formulate better plans and calculate any target's weaknesses.

And with that said, I open this thread up for discussion on the various articles for the proposed enhancement of our group structure and joint storyline.

 

Please be sure to vote on all seven articles in this thread.

 

Also, note that this discussion and the corresponding voting will end at 1200 PST (Noon in the Pacific Time Zone) on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 provided that at least 2/3 of C.I.R.C.L.E. Members have voted at that point.

 

Lastly, the C.I.R.C.L.E. Members will be notified of the results via the C.I.R.C.L.E. Results Overview & Discussion thread, however, when there are other blog threads where authors can vote on the proposals surrounding the details of C.I.R.C.L.E., that communication will still happen via PM.

UPDATE: Articles 63, 64, 65, 66, & 67 have all passed via "UNANIMOUS DECISION", meanwhile

Articles 68 & 69 have both passed with a total of "ELEVEN AYE VOTES TO ONE NAY VOTE" each

Undecided for Article 63 - Will Toa be using this power or is it something they'd consider immoral like the Shelek, Jutlin, Avsa, etc.? Aye if the latter, nay if the former.

The Rethus is strictly a Makuta mask.

 

Article 66 the Heat Vision mask doesnt seem like a Toa would be comfortable using this mask due to its afilliation with Kraata powers. Personally I coud see the Shadow Toa and other warped beings using this mask so to avoid further embarassment Im switching back to aye, and yes Regis this is my final answer.

All because the Makuta has a power doesn't mean that power is evil or that a Toa wouldn't use it. Otherwise, Kanohi like the Suletu, the Matatu, or the Mahiki wouldn't have been used.

 

Would you wear something that has killed your kind? :uhuh:

The mask itself wouldn't have killed Toa, just the power of heat vision. It's like saying you wouldn't use guns in a war because the country you're at war with has killed some of your soldiers with guns. Heat vision isn't immoral in and of itself anyway; it can just be used for immoral purposes (but by that logic, pretty much any power could be used offensively by evil forces, even Light).

 

Also, Toa_Ausar, I've edited my post now changing my vote to "Aye". :)

Instead of playing word games, how about Ballomess takes the time to address Toa Talvak 's and my concerns about the naming for Article 69. ;) Meanwhile, you could also tell the rest of the group what it is you need from us to make up your mind on Articles 51 & 52.

 

On that same note, ChocoLvr13 could tell the rest of us what he needs to decide on Articles 51, 56, 64, 65, & 69. :P

I'm open to suggestions about what to name the Zalmex, although I'm leaning toward calling it the Mask of Intellect. As for the other, I'll reply to the respective entry momentarily.

I really can't stand Comedies myself. If I'm going to spend hours watching something, it's got to keep my mind engaged. ;)

 

Anyway Ballomess, just let me know if you'd like me to make changes to the wording of Article 69 for you.

The things that most "Comedies" tend to portray as funny are mainly either stupid, degenerate, or cruel in my opinion, so I prefer what you might call "Thrillers" for the most part.

Actually, Airplane, the series Police Squad, and the three Naked Gun movies rely mostly on puns, sight gags, and non sequitors, so I think you'd enjoy them.

I vote "AYE" to Articles 63-67, but I vote "NAY" to Article 68 because I don't believe that an increase in muscle mass would do well in absorbing attacks. However, I vote "AYE" to Article 69.

But the proposal says nothing about muscles, rather just plain old mass.

 

And if you increase mass without increasing volume then an object becomes more dense and is thus capable of withstanding greater punishment. ;)

Albeit I want to use my normal formalities when it comes to voting, there is neither the time, nor am I in the place to do so.

All of these proposals are within guidelines as far as I go.

I need more time to vote Ausar, my online code is being interrupted, and I need a week to fix it or my computer may go kaput. WORD is still functioning, but not at its best, it took me maybe a half of an hour to get this right!

Let me just say that at first I was pleased when Zee asked for an extension so that he could fix his computer and vote on Articles 68 & 69, but I am now very disappointed that subsequent to my granting the extension, although he did fix his computer, he still didn't bother to vote as requested by the extension. :uhuh:

 

That being said:
