Oh, what a weekend.

Friday evening, I got to go eat at Rotolo's Pizzeria (not the one in Columbus) in the [French] Quarter with a group from UNO and then go to a game night at a church on Paris Avenue. There were four of us playing other-than-Balderdash: A Tulane student, a NOBTS student, myself, and an architect (the seminary student's husband). We played a round of Clue (I was dealt 3 rooms and a suspect, was nowhere near the solution when the accusation was made.) and a round of Jenga. Much to my surprise, I won the Jenga game when Kelly (the architect) took out a poorly chosen block. I figured the engineer had no shot at this one, but I was wrong. Cue the fistpumping.

Got back at 11 o'clock, to reacquaint myself with an old, old friend: MNOLG.

*pleasant sigh*

While I didn't rediscover LEGO online (That took place at a CVS pharmacy in Kent, OH.), that year-long saga was the barb in the hook. Oh how I loved that game, and to download it to play at my leisure....*sigh*

I don't really care that they replaced every instance of "Tohunga" with "Matoran", though I am glad they kept the other original spellings. I wish they'd have fixed some goofs though....Kopaka's off-center chest and Mahiki/triple Akaku come to mind.

That and the program error at the end of the first fight at Kini-Nui. I liked that game a lot, ya. I wish it'd work.

I got done with that at 2 AM, so I ended up sleeping 'till a quarter till 1 PM Saturday. I had a massive sleep debt accumulating over 2 weeks, so it was good to get that out of the way. Did beacoup de rien most of the day Saturday. Failed to successfully repair my sunglasses hard case, so I get to buy a new one sometime.

Sunday found me singing. A lot.

After Katrina, FBC Belle Chasse was one of the few churches in BAGNO [baptist Association of Greater New Orleans] not to take much damage. However, much of the membership didn't come out of the storm as well, and their pastor has since relocated. It's been rough, and last night, FBC Kenner (the church I attend, but you regulars knew this already) donated their choir to help in the production of a musical (sort of...a bunch of songs with some words in between, but no acting or storyline) called "Somebody's Praying Me Through". It was great, but between 2 practices, Sunday morning choir, and Sunday night, my voice hurt. A lot.

The Week 7 starters for the Moss Bluff Cruisers were as follows:

Byron Leftwich (QB, JAX)

Edgerin James (RB, ARI)

Clinton Portis (RB, WAS)

Roy Williams (WR, DET)

Terrell Owens (WR, DAL)

Josh Scobee (PK, JAX)

New York Giants defense (DST, NYG)

I leave it to anyone who follows the NFL to inform the public of how my team did yesterday.

-KIE, who in his mind's eye, could still see himself huddled by the fire pit in the shadow of the Kanohi Akaku in the Ko-Koro Sanctum, even after 4 years.

Okay. You're on my blog list now. :D And good job revisiting the old memories of MNOLG! It was a very deep, heartful, somewhat sappy reunion for me....but very fun. And finally on a fast connection!

Yeah, I remember playing MNOLG my first time, I loved the minigames in it, and the music. Now to play it whenever I want is awesome. *Goes off to shoot some Nui Rama.*
