Devoid Is A Misnomer

Devoid: it's a word that basically means empty of something... but wait a minute! Wait one solitary, singular moment!

"De-" is a prefix that means the opposite, anti-, stuff like that: destruction, demagnetize.

"Void" is a word that means empty.

If my calculations are accurate, "devoid" should mean full of something. But the only thing it's full of is a definition... ponder this for awhile.

Oh, the irony! Won't somebody please think of the irony!?

PS, If you don't know what a misnomer is, look it up... or not: the definition just could be wrong.

PPS, Ten points of cool to the person who finds and identifies the pun... whether intentional or not, I'll never say. :D
