Casting Masks

So, I don't know mow many of you remember from my custom mask days. I mean, I still paint them sometimes but mainly for display purposes. However, I'm making a decision right now.

Should I start casting Kanohi again? And if so, how many people would buy my very own *Custom* Kanohi?

I've worked with Alumilite before and it's served me well, but...

Anyway, please reply here. My tests with molding turned out very well and I'm eager to start this up again if I know that people would be interested if I make oh, say, a VNOLG Ignika. ;)

Kohilå has gone away without internet access for at least a week, but since I've discussed this with him extensively via Yahoo! Messenger, I'll do my best to answer your question Talvak.

It is my understanding that he fully intends to create original Kanohi designs that are compatible with both Mata and Metru Heads. Now I assume that the Mahri Tube/Viking Horn connection holes wouldn't be too much trouble to duplicate, however I can't say for certain that he intends to have an axle-type connection as opposed to the stud-type connection of yesteryear.

I hope that helps.

As far as the Mahri Tube/Viking Horn holes go, those will be pretty simple. each mask that I uniquely make will first be molded in "green Stuff", a two-part modelling clay that instantly dries into plastic. All I would have to do is put maybe a lightsaber blade in it. If I want to have the Kanohi include a visor option, I would just spray a visor with UMR, insert a 2L axle in it, and then start basing the Kanohi off of it.

This is going to get hectic.
