A Guitar Thing I've Been Forgetting To Share
So, on May 19th I got a new guitar, a Dillion DVT50 telecaster, part of their 2009 "Epic series" limited-runs. My brother was in Israel with the camera at the time though, so I couldn't get any pics. He returned though, and in enjoying my new darling, I forgot to take pictures or even mention it here. I finally got around to doing so today, so I figured the only better place than my blog was the guitar topic, and nobody likes an obscenely large post with obscenely large images as much as an obscenely large blog with obscenely large images, do they?
Just a note, unfortunately since I took the webcam pics on May 19th, that "new guitar" shine that everything had has worn off a little. In addition since I've been using this thing heavily for recording, home practicing and band, it's got sweat, finger oil, dust, scratches, all that kind of stuff. Tried to clean it beforehand, but only so much can be done I suppose.
Just a forewarning, the average size of one of these is 1536x2048 pixels, so if you have a slow internet please don't blame me when you feel the bandwidth being sucked away.
Guitar body, front ~ This is my personal favourite of these just because the flash combined with the angle and lighting make the guitar almost look like it did in it's brand-new pictures.
Guitar body, upper back ~ Just a forewarning, the neckplate caught the camera flash and made a sort of lensflare, so those with light-sensitive eyes, put on sunglasses or turn down your monitor brightness before clicking the link.
Guitar body, upper left front ~ This is just a picture I took of the upper let of the body that I really think captures how the finish really looks fairly well.
Bridge and bridge pickup detail
Neckplate detail ~ You can even see one of the bearpaws I call hands holding the camera in the reflection! =D
Headstock back ~ Serial number censored for legal purposes.
So far I've absolutely loved it; from the tone to the feel it's one of my favourite guitars I've played, let alone owned.
