This has been the best week ever. For elections on Tuesday and teacher conventions on Wed, Thurs, and Fri, we only went to school last Monday and have been off since (but we go back tomorrow ).

I'm really happy with my SSC #3 entry. Can you believe that, in my nearly three-and-a-half years of being here, this'll be the first BZP contest I've ever entered?

Anyway, my mom helped me pick out a Thanksgiving e-card to send a certain someone who is the opposite gender and around my age (*nudge nudge wink wink*). Let's hope I get a response.

The only downside this week was Saturday morning, when we went to help my uncle rake leaves. Now, he lives right next to a large lake. And with that lake comes many trees. LOTS of trees. Which means LOTS of leaves. But I got one good thing out of it, which I'll get to later.

That night we had a pretty fun party at my aunt's house for my brother's 18th birthday. Only bad thing was that my dad was still in bad shape. See, he works at a shipping yard in the Delaware River near Philadelphia (only on the New Jersey side). He tripped over a piece of steel and fell. He saw a large, covered pipe and threw his right arm in front of him to catch it. Only problem was that the "cover" was just duct tape, and his arm went right through. The edge of the pipe hit him in the chest. He's in quite a bit of pain.

But the best for last: My uncle is willing to teach me how to play the guitar! He's going to teach me electric guitar, then maybe acoustic. I already picked one out, but I won't get it till Christmas: a red Fender Starcaster that includes a small amp. The guitar itself is $100 (much cheaper than I expected), and we estimated it'd be $150 with the amp included. I'm SO excited. Now me and LK can be a two-person guitar band.
