Those parts are awesome. Not what I'd think of as infected-- the oranger areas have a copperlike sheen, while an infected mask would probably be a dull metallic black with rusty-looking orange areas-- but still unbelievably awesome. The rough, cracked texture just adds to their appeal. Maybe these are what copper masks of victory would look like in some post-apocalyptic BIONICLE storyline.

Friend of mine, four or five years ago. Far as I know these are the only ones he made. I've actually got a Pakari and a really old Matatu around here somewhere.

Citadel paints(normally used for Warhammer models). Idk exactly how, as I wasn't there when he made them, but as I've done a bit of Warhammer painting research, I can guess. Normal basecoat(black, and an extra coat in red for the Miru), then tons of inks and washes in various colors, scratches with a X-acto knife, and a layer of varnish.

Nice, I especially like the Kaukau, trans masks are always awesomer than untrans masks.

Wow, until you said that the 2 that are blue were blue, I though they were red. Did your friend to this to any copper/gold masks? That would be cool to see.
