...thought automatically restarting a computer is a good idea.

 

I mean seriously, there are absolutely no positives to automatically restarting a computer. It once happened to me while I was playing Fallout 3. I didn't see the message until it was too late.

 

It just happened over night. I left my computer on to finish downloading Burnout Paradise. The computer restarted at some point overnight.

 

Automatic restarts are a horrible, horrible idea.

And apparently the version of Vista I have, Home Premium, lacks the program to permanently turn auto-restart off.

Whenever I put my computer to sleep, it automatically shuts off, and I have no idea why, as of yet.

 

And I have Home Premium as well, so we may have a related problem. :P

Is this Vista you're talking about? I get that all the time, sometimes with no warning at all. >_>

I said it was Vista in the entry. :P But it happened on XP as well.

I just got this computer a few days ago, and only put it to sleep once. But it did shut down. I though maybe it was some update-related thing.
