Why? Because XP works perfectly for me, it's twice as fast as Vista was, waaayyy more reliable, better look, better feel / more user-friendly, more compatible with almost everything I use most, and, well, 7 just seems too much like Vista IMO.

Keep in mind that it's still in beta. We know for a fact that XP is good and the details on 7 are still sketchy at this point. I did a little research on 7's speed compared to XP, and, among the scattered reports, from the ones that do report it being faster than it's predecessor, the change is quite insignificant. And whether or not 7 is faster I think it would be worth the loss of speed just because I have such high regard for my favorite OS. If there's one thing I've learned from Microsoft in the past years, it's that "new = bad," and until I see some significant change in their products' quality, I'm sticking with the old.

Also, 7 has the exact same incompatibilities that Vista had with older programs designed for XP. Programs that I use a lot, such as RPG Maker, work much better now, and they don't encounter fatal and irreversible errors whilst in the environment that they were designed for. Another good reason for me not to switch.
