Notes: Assassin was the #1 overall seed. Gorgnak edged out Sonu for the last #1 seed. Gorgnak, Brenmac, and Tahu are all in the same region for the second straight year, and Tahu and Brenmac could set up a rematch of last year's epic region semifinal by winning their first two fights. Brenmac has yet to defeat Tahu in any sort of fight.

Levacius and Gorgnak could set up a rematch of last year's Final Four by winning their respective regions. Levacius will, however, have to get past Mesonak first. Levacius won the only meeting between he and Mesonak this summer.

(#3S)Tahu Mata was the first non GS to be selected for the tournament. Fellow Tahu member Tahu Nuva(#3W) was picked right after him.

The top two seeds in the North Region have both yet to lose a fight against anyone in the tournament. Both #1 Tarakavarbiter and #2 Mr. Matoro have only lost against Omega Turtle. Mr. Matoro was the 2008 Super Battle Champion.

Mr. Matoro could set up a rematch of 2008's Final Four if he and (#2N)Sonu win their respective regions.

Assassin is looking for his first trip past the 3rd round. Accomplishing that this time will be no easy task, as he has a potential region semifinal matchup against Terpo or Takanuva.

Yami(#6W) made sure to stay far away from the region that Sonu is in. The only way these two could meet is in the Super Battle.
