I just got back from a 2 week trip to New Zealand, and I have to say, the weather was a lot nicer. When we arrived in Australia again it was mid 30's in the shade with humidity at about 90%

The original plan was to go around the North Island for a week, then the South for another, but my mum got scared of the ferry across (It was horrible weather) so we just trekked around the North Island for 2 weeks instead. Climbed Ruapehu (AKA Mt Doom from LotR, it was fun but going down was scary), visited Weta Studios, who do the special effects for Doctor Who and LotR (MASSIVE let-down. It's just a mini-mueseum/little shop. And not that good a little shop, at that.), went to Hot Water Beach (where if you dig a hole it fills with hot water), Lake Taupo (Played minigolf, mainly), Rotorua (New Year's Day), Napier (Awesome Art Deco, coz of an earthquake in the 30's), and Wellington (Windy).
