My attempt at a perfect run through Metroid Prime on Hypermode difficulty got destroyed today by the stupid Omega Pirate, and the fact that you can't freeze Ice Troopers anymore. And that it's insanely hard to find power bomb ammo anywhere. But then I owned him for a small amount of revenge...

 

Switching gears to Halo 3, my attempts at a perfect run on Heroic are being thwarted continually by Scarabs. Look for a head imprint on the brick wall if I keep getting to that point only to die again.

^this. By the time I get back to the Hornet, it's either been blown apart, stepped on, or used by someone else. And unfortunately no one has created an AI intelligent enough to pick you up off the ground and drop you on a Scarab like my brother and I do in multiplayer.

You could always just stay in the Hornet the whole time and take out the armor in the back so you can just shoot the core without having to get out.

3. While it's stunned, shoot off the back armor.
