Matornz

Yeah, they're technically Agori, if you're into taxonomy. I just think of them as Matoran.

I figured out this new way to make use of the Hordika upper arm as a torso. Also, the spikes on the arms turned out well.

Simple but cute. Uses the same torso construction as the original BC-Matoran. Headgear rather reminiscent of the psychic sisterhood in the movie Dune.

especially the top one, the spikes on the arms go well with the ragged edges on the helmet. however the shoulders seem kinda wide for the rest of the torso <_>

other than that B)

I might have to try the upper Hordika arm for a torso now :3

Yeah, I guess so. One could fix that by using one of the new double sockets that have the holes on the side instead of this combo I used. Vastus comes with two in dark green, but those are in use on another (unpublished) MOC of mine at the moment.

Thanks for commenting. ^_^

ossum possum :P

Actually, I like it this way because there's a little more bulk, plus the shoulders can swivel. Outlandishly wide shoulders and otherwise messed-up proportions are par for the course in the Bionicle universe, so my eye doesn't take offence to this guy.

Why couldn't Lego make Matoran like this?

Nice job.

Thanks. :D

Because good MOCs don't translate into good sets, for the most part. Sets have to be durable, easy to build, and provide a maximal cool-to-cost ratio.
