The Week In Retrospect

Uh, wow. This week was exhausting. I mean, really exhausting. It'd probably be easier to go ahead and tell it to you day-by-day:

Sunday ~ Finished packing, boarded a plane from Dayton, OH to Detroit, MI and then from Detroit, MI to Nashville, TN. Flying was probably the more unsure part of the trip since I've never been on a plane alone before. It felt... empowering and mature.

So, I got off and there was a shuttle taking us to Trevecca Nazarene University, the campus that Camp Electric was hosted at. Checked in, got my dorm assignment, and went to various meetings and stuff. Some band whose name I do not remember played that night.

Monday ~ Kinda slow day. Bernard Harris was our bass teacher overall, and then we had individual teachers for each skill level. On Monday, we had the bass player for The Fray, who was awesome. Family Force 5 player Monday and they honestly play a great live show.

Tuesday ~ Went faster as I got into the hang of things. Had TobyMac's bass player as our instructor. Really showed the more funky styles of bass playing, like thumps and pops and all that fancy stuff. The band that night was Disciple, and then later was Pillar whom all of the bass players missed because Bernard called us to the other end of the building and made the 22-or-so bassists smoothies and they were awesome. The members of Disciple randomly walked in and chilled with us. I felt so B) .

Wednesday ~ Last full day of camp. Slow again, but very fun. The bass teacher was the bassist from Pillar and since he was more of a metal bassist, I was able to relate. The night was a big night, since TobyMac played. Dotå'a a big fan of him, so I decided to give him a call and had Toby say hi to Dotå who promptly freaked out. Also got him a signed poster too.

Thursday ~ Last day. Had final messages and stuff and took my luggage to where the bus took us to the Nashville airport. Said goodbye to my dormmates and left. Fun thing is, we got to the airport around 11:30am and my plane didn't have to depart until 3:55pm so I chilled with the other Camp Electric people and ate at Wendy's. Took my flight from Nashville, TN to Atlanta, GA (BIG airport, by the way) and then took my flight from Atlanta, GA to Dayton, OH. Got picked up, ate some Skyline Chili, and went home. Slept from 12am that night until 6pm the next day.

Oh, and I almost forgot. "Spirit Fable" Chapter Five is now out, so get to reading!

Hope you guys are doing as well as I am. :P

Glad you had fun and it's good to have you back.

By the way, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the world's busiest airport and has been since 1999. ;)

Anyway, I'm off to read Escape-5. :happydance:

Well, I locve their most mainstream song, the only one I've ever heard, which is obviously How To Save A Life.
