Desk

I need a desk.

It needs to be cheap as I recently blew a lot of money, since I have my old job and therefore my employee discount back, on new recording gear, but not a few flimsy pieces of plywood nailed together or something similar. It'd be nice if, in addition to room for a computer and/or documents, it also could fit a four octave keyboard(One of the things I bought), but if need-be I can buy a keyboard stand, so that's not a dealbreaker.

I've been looking at IKEA, but I was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations?

get a couple nice large boards and some cinder blocks!

that way when you're done using it as a desk you can take it apart and make an impromptu fort!

I once saw an ad about these pure stone desks; it's formed kinda like concrete except it's not concrete. Think it they grind it to a fine powder, put an adhesive in it, then pour it in but material making beside they used quartz for it and made a fairly sizable desk for about fifty bucks. I'll have to go see if I can find 'em again.

Don't forget the fake wood paneling but otherwise I agree.

true true, the paneling would also give the fort some flair as well.
