A few random things going on that pull from the number 5:

• King Cakes: I am 5-for-5 this season in getting babies from king cakes. Tradition would dictate that I will father a child soon. Too bad I'm not married, engaged, or even have a steady girlfriend for that to transpire.

• Red Alert 2: Team #5 tends to get assigned semi-often in the "Tiger Squadron" scenarios of last night and tonight. Texas DMZ was anti-climactic; we were promised a Soviet fortress over the Mexican border, and instead got an unclaimed oil derrick on an island on the fifth and final map.

  Still beat Michael head-to-head on score, though.

   

  We started the European Theater campaign, and got a few into it, but he had to hang it up and help wash the dishes.

• Super Bowl party: one of the party platters from BW3 for Sunday can purportedly feed 5 people. This is good, because this perpetual purchase of king cakes is running me dry.

  I admit that I'm not that interested in the game, but it will be cool to hang out in BR. GN, can't say that you're invited, though. Not my house.

  Go Colts: let's get this Archie-Peyton-Manning family-Super Bowl bit out of the way already. Clear the storylines for the Saints to roll up in Glendale in 2008.

• Ultima Online: Newest piece of Virtue armor is available, and if I were going for the sword instead, I'd be 50% of the way there. Instead, I will simply console myself for getting 5 "Books of Truth?" over the past 5 days. It's only me that's taking so long, really.

  I miss my guildmates. Anyone want to come and join my guild?

• Work: I thought I might have been 95% complete in the building of one of these 5 model areas, but I have 50% of the work left to do. I'm soooo far behind it's not funny.

*sigh*
